How to Use This Tool

  1. Enter the room width in feet.
  2. Enter the room length in feet.
  3. Enter the wall height in feet.
  4. Enter the number of coats you plan to apply.
  5. Click Calculate to get your paint quantity in gallons and liters.

The Formula

Coverage estimate assumes 350 sq ft per gallon per coat. Total gallons = (Wall Area x Coats) / 350. A standard 20 sq ft door area is deducted per coat.

Why It Matters

You are painting a 12x14ft living room with 8ft ceilings. Wall area is 208 sq ft minus 25 for windows/doors = 183 sq ft. Two coats need ~1 gallon at 350 sq ft/gallon coverage. Premium paint: ~$70.
