How to Use

  1. Upload a PDF file.
  2. Enter a password that will be required to open the PDF.
  3. Optionally set a separate owner password.
  4. Click Protect to encrypt the PDF.
  5. Download the password-protected PDF.

How It Works

PDF encryption uses pdf-lib's built-in AES-256 encryption. The user password controls document opening. The owner password controls modification permissions. If only a user password is set, it serves both purposes.
